Popular binge-worthy kdramas that captured the hearts of millions worldwide have been labeled as limited series by the OTT giant. This broke the hearts of millions of fans. Kdramas like My “Demon”, “Doctor Slump”, “Welcome to Samdalri”, and others are on the list.
‘My Demon’
The kdrama features Kim Yoo Jung and the heartthrob of kdrama fans, Song Kang. Song Kang was widely appreciated for his bad boy role in Nevertheless, capturing the hearts of female viewers. In My Demon, Song Kang plays the role of a demon who is entwined with his lover from past lives, named Do Do Hee, by fate. What follows is a tale of love and sacrifice. The series is limited and won’t be renewed for season 2. The main reason may be the cause of Song Kang’s military enlistment.
‘Welcome to Samdalri’
This is one of the feel-good kdramas that received wide appreciation from its viewers. The story is of two childhood besties who grow up and fall in love, only to be separated later on because of family. However, years later, when they meet, sparks fly between them, and they fall even deeper in love. Both the actors, Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun, were amazing in their roles. The drama is mostly shot on Jeju Island and gives Hometown Cha Cha Cha vibes, which was another famous kdrama shot in Jeju.
‘The Bequeathed’
This drama is directed by Yeon Sang Ho, who also directed the movie Train to Busan, a 2016 hit. The series is based on a webtoon novel, and it is about a woman who inherits a burial ground and finds herself sandwiched between murders and other crimes.
‘Captivating the King’
It is the story of a king and a woman thirsty for revenge. Their lives somehow mix up, and they end up baffled. The series is far from traditional historical Korean dramas and features revenge, betrayal, twists and turns, and manipulation. It stars Jo Jung Suk, Shin Se Kyung, and Lee Shin Young.
‘Doctor Slump’
“Doctor Slump” is an ongoing kdrama on Netflix. The drama created a lot of hype, mainly because of its lead actors, Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik, reuniting on screen after 11 years. They were last seen working together in the hit series ‘The Heirs’. Although fans are quite excited about the drama, Netflix has already labeled it as a limited series, pouring water over fans’ anticipation regarding season 2.
