Google CEO Sundar Pichai reveals his favourite dishes

Sundar Pichai’s Culinary Favorites

In a candid conversation with YouTuber Varun Mayya, Google CEO Sundar Pichai disclosed his preferred Indian delicacies across three major cities. When in Bangalore, Pichai opts for a dosa, which he proclaims as his top choice.

In Delhi, his go-to dish is chole bhature, and in Mumbai, he enjoys pav bhaji.

“When it’s Bangalore, I will probably get a dosa. It’s my favorite food. If it’s Delhi, chole bhature. And if it’s Mumbai, I’ll do a pav bhaji,” he said.

India’s Potential in AI

Pichai also delved into Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its implications for India. He expressed optimism about India’s capacity to spearhead AI innovation, attributing this potential to the country’s robust engineering talent. Pichai encouraged Indian developers to seize the opportunity to create applications that could significantly impact both within India and globally.

“I think India is well-positioned. For India, this is the moment. India has an extraordinary base of developers and engineering talent. For them to understand this trend and build their applications that make sense either for India or for the world from India. Both are exciting possibilities,” he said.

Advice for Aspiring Techies

Addressing the competitive nature of securing positions at leading tech companies, Pichai emphasized the importance of a profound understanding of technology. He advised young engineers to aim for a deep comprehension of their field, drawing an analogy to a scene from the Bollywood film ‘3 Idiots that highlights the difference between knowing and understanding a concept.

Real success comes from understanding things more deeply. Almost tempted to go back to the movie 3 Idiots. There’s a scene in there where they ask Aamir Khan the definition of a motor. There are two versions where you describe what a motor is and one where you actually understand what a motor is. So I view it the same way,” Pichai said.

Additionally, Pichai mentioned the existence of an industry in India that aids individuals in preparing for interviews with top tech firms, commonly referred to by the acronym FAANG.
