The first test between Pakistan and New Zealand is turning in favor of the Asian side, as the visitors ended their first innings in a score of 262 against the mighty 566 from Pakistan.

The hosts took a lead a 304 runs in the first innings. The Kiwis fell 105 runs short of avoiding follow on, but the Pakistani Captain didn’t enforce it.

Instead, they batted again, and at the end of the third day, Pakistan has scored 15 runs with the loss of no wickets.

Pakistan has now a lead of 319 runs, and they have 10 wickets in hand. The men from Asia will be trying to fetch as many runs as possible in the first session, and they will ask New Zealand to bat again.

The match is now in favor of Pakistan, and with two days remaining, they can easily bowl out the weak New Zealand batting line up.

Rod Latham’s innings was the only attraction of New Zealand innings. He scored his maiden hundred in this match before getting out in a Rahat Ali Delivery.

Corey Anderson scored 48 runs and BJ Watling made 42. King pin New Zealand batsmen Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor failed miserably, and they got out for a score of 18 and 0 respectively.

The bowlers of Pakistan put up a decent performance throughout the innings. Rahat Ali picked 4 wickets by conceding just 22 runs, where as spinner Zulfiqar Babar took 3-79.
