Sebastian Vettel is fastest in Indian Grand Prix practice session

The Buddh International Circuit was occupied by 22 F1 cars on Saturday, Oct 26, 2013 in an hour-long battle for the fastest lap times. The practice session determines the position of cars in the race on Sunday.

Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull completed the practice with the fastest time for the third time. The race is expected to bring him his fourth successive Formula One title.

The 26-year-old German clocked a best time of 1 minute 25.332 seconds, fractionally slower than his last year’s best time of pole position 1 minute 25.283 seconds.

Vettel was however half a second quicker than his team-mate Mark Webber, who came in second place at the practice session.

The race at the Buddh track is one of the most important races for the season as it will give Vettel, hiss fourth consecutive Drivers’ Title and Infiniti Red Bull, the Constructors’ Champions title. The Red Bull team has been dominating the sport from the last four years.
