Google Hot Trends and Hot Searches for today

Do you know what people all over the world or in a particular country are searching for in Google at the moment?

Google provides Google Trends for people to know what people are searching for at the moment or in a day. The Google hot trends show the keywords and the number of searches conducted for that particular keyword too.

Currently, Google shows hot trends for the United States, Australia, India, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and the United Kingdom.

On August 5, 2008, Google launched Google Insights for Search, a better and more sophisticated and advanced service that displays search trends data.

On September 27, 2012, Google merged Google Insights into Google Trends.

Earlier, Google used to show 100 top searched keywords, but gradually it came down to 20. And now they show the trends in a different way. Like after the searches are complete they show the total number of searches for that particular keyword.

Even Yahoo was showing the top keywords in its search engine at Yahoo OMG calling them as Hot Trends, now even they have stopped and they are showing articles on that page which they say are trending.

Apart from Google and Yahoo, another company that displays the hot topics is California based Alexa.com of Amazon.com which provides commercial web traffic data.

Alexa provides traffic data, global rankings and other valuable information on more than 30 million websites.
