This match against Pakistan is the final Pool B match for India, but yes they will be much looking for win, given that Pakistan also won their first two matches.

In the first contest, Pakistan, like India, had beaten the Sri Lankan side, and they also emerged winners against the tough China team. Currently both teams have six points on the tally, and thereby, the winner from here will peak the pool.

A report on Zee news quoted the Indian skipper Sardar. “Playing against Pakistan is an experience that every player looks forward to, it will be the second time in Asian Games that I will be playing against them and I am sure that it will be a challenging battle for us. The whole team is excited and ready to take them on,” he said.

The last time both the teams met at Asian Games, India had beaten Pakistan 3-2. However, Pakistan did get the gold medal after the team defeated Malaysia in the finals.

The stakes of this game are quite high for both teams as the gold medal winner will get the advantage of going to the 2016 Rio Olympics directly. The Indian team is looking forward to their first win in 16 years.
