All set to star in the magnum opus period drama “Baahubali”, actor Adivi Sesh said that the movie is going to be India’s answer to the international franchise. The actor is joining shooting for the movie directed by S.S. Rajamouli from September 29 onwards.
Rajamouli is known for blockbusters like “Magadheera” with Ram Charan Teja and “Eega”. Sesh said that he was asked to keep 60 days aside for the movie and also gain weight for his role. He says that being made on such a grand scale, “Baahubali” will undoubtedly be India’s answer to “The Lord of the Rings” franchise.
Sesh, who has featured in Telugu movies such as “Karma” and “Panja”, is playing an important role in the movie that stars superstar Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and the beautiful Anushka Shetty.
Sesh says that besides weight gain, he was also asked to learn sword fighting, horse riding and some basic action before joining the crew.
The epic movie “Baahubali” is simultaneously being made in Tamil and Telugu. The movie will be dubbed in Malayalam, Hindi and many foreign languages. Award winning art director Saby Cyril is working for the film.
