India beat West Indies in the 1st Odi

Barbados: India beat West Indies by 5 wickets in a one-sided game, opting to bowl first India were on the top of the game since they took the wicket off Kyle Mayers.

West Indian batters struggled to play good cricketing shots and put up a poor show. Shai Hope was the only batter who looked in touch; the rest all the batters didn’t contribute.

While Indian bowlers were dominating since the ball one, spinners managed to bag 7 wickets which Kuldeep Yadav picked up 4 wickets while Jadeja took 3 wickets. All the seamers picked a wicket and Bowled out West Indies on 114.

Chasing a small target should have been an easy job, but the Windies put up a fight and took 5 wickets , India tried a new batting pair as they sent Gill and Kishan to open and Surya Kumar at 3. Kishan managed to get fifty rest. All the batters were flattered in chasing this target.

In the end, Rohit Sharma came at no.7 to finish the game for India along with Ravindra Jadeja, West Indies used 7 bowlers, but defending a total of 114 is nearly impossible, Gudakesh Motie picked 2 wickets while Cariah and Seales picked 1 wicket each.

India won the game in 22.5 overs, and Kuldeep Yadav was chosen as the man of the Match for his spell of 4-6 in 3 overs and bowled 2 maiden overs.
