Jack Black performed stand-up comedy at the event to raise funds for crew members affected by the SAG-AFTRA strike.


Did you know Jack Black is a Swiftie? The School of Rock actor did just that when he stripped down to his boxers just to sing Taylor Swift’s Emmy-winning track Anti-Hero in front of a live audience. A user on X (formerly Twitter) posted a video of Jack Black performing in Anti-Hero on Thursday. He was seen stripping down to his boxers while the live crowd cheered. He then goes into the crowd to interact with them and then asks for song requests. When someone suggests Anti-Hero, he’s like, “I know. Everybody knows that fucking song.” He then starts chanting Anti-Hero as the crowd cheers louder. He soon loses track of the lyrics but keeps singing gibberish to the same tune.

As Variety reports, Jack performed at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. The Give Back-ular Spectacular! The show was held Wednesday to raise funds for film and television crew members affected by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. Other celebrities appearing at the event included Dax Shepard, Jeremy Allen White, Bryan Cranston, Lily Tomlin, Halle Berry, and Rachel Bloom.

The SAG-AFTRA strike has been going on for more than 100 days. While the studios and the actors’ bodies resumed negotiations, the actors refused to budge on the studios’ new offer. Jack Black has been an active participant as he has been seen in picket lines at several locations over the past few months, including one wearing a “SAG-AFTRA Strong” t-shirt.


Jack Black will next be seen or heard as the voice of the title character in Mike Mitchell’s animated action comedy Kung Fu Panda 4, which is set for release in the US on March 8, 2024. Taylor Swift has just released a re-recorded version of her album 1989 with five new tracks From The Vault.
