Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has hinted at major revelations at the upcoming DC Fintech Week and Swell event, saying the company is “preparing for a major announcement.”

In an interview with Investing.com India, Garlinghouse said that Ripple is “excited to share some really big news” at the events and that he expects it to be a “proverbial cage match” atmosphere.

“We’re going to have a lot of announcements coming out of DC Fintech Week and Swell,” Garlinghouse said. “We’re preparing for a major announcement, and we’re excited to share it with the world.”

Garlinghouse did not give any specific details about the upcoming announcements, but he did say that they would be “significant” and that they would “move the needle” for Ripple.

“These announcements are going to be significant,” Garlinghouse said. “They’re going to move the needle for Ripple, and they’re going to be something the whole industry is talking about.”

The Institute of International Economic Law is organizing the DC Fintech Week event, which will run from November 7-8. The Swell event is Ripple’s own annual conference and will take place on November 16-17.

Both events are expected to be major gatherings of fintech leaders and policymakers, and Ripple’s announcements will surely be closely watched by the industry.
