Directed by Neeraj Pandey, this movie is highly anticipated biographical movie of the year. This has never happened in the cinema’s history that such biopic of sportsperson will be made who is actually active in the field with great level of help from none other than Mahendra Singh Dhoni himself.

This movie is supported by Dhoni’s close friend Arun Pandey to which Dhoni couldn’t say no. The film’s treatment is in detailed way and not objectively, which makes it a little longer in duration and strong in every aspect.

The movie follows the journey of level-headed cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his journey from being a TT in Ranchi to the captain of Indian cricket team consistently.

The news of this movie were always there in the market, but Neeraj make sure to make this movie in a straight and comprehensive way and keeping the mind what will work and what not. The story has all the cricket elements and drama, and how the protagonist accepted every challenge that came his way which ultimately leads to a beautiful destination. One can see more of Dhoni’s way of dealing with situations in personal stances apart from cricket.

Sushant Singh Rajput has given the best in his performance which makes you believe what must have happened to Dhoni in his life and how he tackled everything with his calm mind. Not only Rajput, other actors have given their self into the film and make it more authentic for viewers.

As it is a movie, the story goes with love songs and women that came in Dhoni’s life and how he make his father (Anupam Kher) assure of the fact that he could be really good in cricket and his heart lies in that rather being a normal TT. There are many dramatic aspects in the movie which covers his upbringing in middle class family and less of cricket.

It doesn’t matter how the movie unfolds on-screen, this is a treat to all those Dhoni’s fans that loved his style and composed way on or off field.
