Ravi Shastri resigns from ICC Cricket Committee headed by Anil Kumble

In an interesting development, Former Indian Skipper and National Team Director Ravi Shastri has resigned from ICC Cricket Committee on July 01, 2016.

He has been working in the post of media representative in the Committee for the past six years, and this decision from Shastri can be considered as a repercussion of Anil Kumble’s selection as the Head Coach for India. Yesterday, he had a session of word war with the daring Saurav Ganguly, and many sources believe that it is the actual reason which compelled him to resign from the designation.

Interestingly, Kumble is heading the prestigious Cricket Committee of ICC, and resignation from Ravi is touted as his protest against the finalization of Indian coach. Shastri’s reply was quite tactical when PTI asked about the reason behind the unexpected Adios.

The ex-cricketer made it clear that he has umpteen numbers of personal commitments to fulfill, and moreover, he has worked in the same slot for half a dozen years.

Even though the official cause behind Ravi’s move is his hectic media assignments as a commentator and a cricket analyst, a credible BCCI source clearly revealed that his tiff with Cricket Advisory Board Member Saurav is the only factor which played a crucial role behind this quick action.

A person who is close to both Ravi and Dada told that these two ex-players are pretty emotional in all their deeds. Now, Anil has expressed his interest in continuing his reign as the chairman, even though he is now the primary coach of the Men In Blue.

Two days back,Ravi Shastri lashed out against the advisory board stating that during the time of his interview, one of the board members was not available. He added that this member is none other than Saurav, who is also the President of CAB.

Hearing these allegations, Dada reacted in a very strong manner. The Kolkata Prince told that he had other engagements which were fixed months back. The angry man even moved a step ahead and criticized Ravi for attending the interview over Skype, as he was holidaying in Bangkok.
