India has always been great in ODIs and has relied on its openers to strike the right partnership. However, with the last loss to Australia by 106 runs, Indian batsmen will not be taking it easy.

What remains a concern for the team is the bowling, which has faced concentrated criticism from most corners. After not managing to win even one match in the triangular series, skipper Dhoni’s concerns should be high.

In fact, the Indian skipper had issues with his own form. Adding to the woes, Ishant Sharma had to be replaced by Mohit Sharma due to fitness issues, while injuries loom over other batsmen on the top order, as well.

For debutant Afghanistan, things are bright because this is their first attempt, and they have the experience of Mohammad Nabi to rely on. Aftab Alam and Shapoor Zadran will be players to watch for, along with Dawlat Zadran.
