Rajinikanth and Yash grace the wedding of Ambareesh-Sumalatha's son Abhishek

Bengaluru: Superstar Rajinikanth and “KGF” actor Sandalwood star Yash attended the wedding of late Kannada actor-politician Ambareesh and actor-turned-politician Sumalatha’s son Abhishek on Saturday.

The wedding ceremony was held at a private resort in Nelamangala, about 30 km from Bengaluru. The bride is Vijetha Gowda, the daughter of businessman Ramesh Gowda and Geetha.

The wedding was attended by a host of celebrities from the Kannada and Tamil film industries, including Darshan, Sudeep, Upendra, Shivarajkumar, Ramesh Aravind, and Vijay Raghavendra.

Rajinikanth and Yash were among the first to arrive at the wedding venue. They were greeted by Sumalatha and her family.

Rajinikanth and Yash both spoke at the wedding reception. Rajinikanth praised Ambareesh and Sumalatha for their contribution to Kannada cinema. He also wished Abhishek and Vijetha a happy and prosperous life.

Yash said that he was inspired by Ambareesh’s work and that he was proud to be a part of the wedding. He also wished Abhishek and Vijetha a lifetime of happiness.

The wedding reception was a star-studded affair. The guests were entertained by performances by singers and dancers. The event ended with a grand fireworks display.

Ambareesh, who was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema, died in 2018. He was 66. Sumalatha, who is a former actress, is a member of Parliament.
