Indian Test skipper, Virat Kohli won the toss and India will bat first in the first Test against the rampaging South African team in Mohali being played from Nov 5-9, 2015.

The match start time is 9:30 a.m. India time.

Virat Kohli thinks the pitch is good for batting and that the reason he chose to bat first. As speculated before the match starts, there are no four spinners in the Indian playing XI.

For the visitors, Rabada will make his Test debut today. Bavuma and Piedt were not included in the playing XI and they miss out. Morne and JP are out because of injury.
