Upcoming Disney+ series ‘Blood Free’ reveals premiere date!

‘Blood Free’, featuring Joo Ji Hoon and Han Hyo Joo, is slated to release on April 10, 2024 via Disney+Hotstar.

Plot of ‘Blood Free’

The series is directed by Park Cheol Han. The drama is set in the year 2025—an era of artificially engineered meat! Yoon Ja Yoo (Han Hyo Joo) is the CEO of the genetic engineering enterprise BF, which produces artificially cultured meat.

Yoon Ja Yoo is approached by Woo Chae Woon (Joo Ji Hoon), a retired officer-turned-guard, and the two of them get entangled in a mysterious death. The newly released poster for ‘Blood Free’ pretty much captures the essence of the concept of the drama. There is a text written above the image of an artificial meat saying – “Will you join us in this age of artificially cultured meat?”

In addition to Joo Ji Hoon and Han Hyo Joo, other actors like Lee Hee Joon, Lee Moo Saeng, Kim Sang Ho, Jeon Suk Ho, and Park Ji Yeon will be seen in the drama.


Lee Hoo Joon will play the role of a prime minister keen to acquire BF Group. Lee Moo Saeng will play On San who is BF Group’s founding member and an old-time friend to Yoon Ja Yoo for 20 years.

Kim Sang Ho will play a biotechnologist who is the brain behind the development of artificially cultured meat. Jeon Suk Ho will play the IT expert at BF Group, and Park Ji Yeon will appear as BF Group’s planning director.
