California inflation relief checks could total $1,000 per family

Starting tomorrow, $9.5 billion in Middle-Class Tax Refund payments will begin going out to Californians, with refunds of up to $1,050 that will benefit millions of eligible Californians under the largest such program in state history.

Approximately 700,000 people in California will receive cash deposits from the state on Friday as part of an effort to help residents deal with the rising costs of goods due to inflation. Check all details on the official website here.

The inflation relief checks will be based on income and are set to go out as early as Friday, but negotiations between lawmakers and Newsom delayed the checks.
