Sushmita plays a transgender woman in “Taali”, based on real-life employee Shreegauri Sawant.
The show chronicles the life and journey of Shreegauri Sawant, her radical transformation from Ganesh to Gauri, and the resulting hatred
she endured; her courage for motherhood and the journey that led to the inclusion of the third gender in all certifications in India.
