Mexico’s Andrea Meza crowned Miss Universe – Photos, Video

Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was crowned Miss Universe 2021 at the 69th annual pageant. The event was delayed last year due to Covid-19.

According to newsweek.com, the Miss Universe, 2021 was held on Sunday, May 16, 2021. This would mark the 69th Miss Universe competition. As we already know, beauty has no boundaries to it, thus each contestant goes through several tests on intellect, mind as well as outside beauty to be finally declared as the winner of the competition.

Previously on May 14, 2021, the preliminary competition was held and the top 21 contestants have already been chosen. These contestants will compete for the crown on May 16, 2021. The show got hosted by Mario Lopez and Olivia Culpo (Miss Universe 2012) with rapper Pitbull as the guest performer. The contest is to be broadcasted in more than 160 territories and countries over the globe. The show might be watched live and voted on on the Miss Universe Youtube channel.

Postponing of the event in 2020:

The Miss Universe 2020 was postponed due to the COVID situation. This year, the President of the Miss Universe Organization, Paula M. Shugart has made sure to the world that the competition will take place after taking all the precautions and maintaining the COVID guidelines.
