Rising Trend: Celebs Embrace No Trousers Fashion

Last week, we brought you somewhat unsettling news that micro shorts have made a comeback, swiftly surpassing jorts as this summer’s preferred bottomwear. Celebrities like Sophie Turner, Olivia Neill, Zendaya, and Emily Ratajkowski have already embraced the trend, where the motto seems to be “the shorter, the better.” Recent festivals indicate that this trend is gaining momentum.

Yet, as fashion often pushes boundaries, some individuals are taking this trend to an extreme. Enter a new phenomenon: actual pants, or rather, the lack thereof. The concept of underwear as outerwear has been gaining momentum, thanks in part to Kendall Jenner, who popularized the “no trousers” trend.

This trend has reached a pinnacle as Dua Lipa graces the cover of New York Times Style magazine clad in not one, but two pairs of underwear and little else, reports Yahoo!

Dua’s cover features her wearing a complete Miu Miu ensemble, comprising a simple white t-shirt, layered grey knitted knickers over white briefs, transparent black tights, and patent black mules. This innovative take on styling underwear is undeniably chic.

Notably, the trend of going trouserless on magazine covers appears to be catching on, as recently, Kylie Minogue adorned the latest issue of Perfect magazine wearing nothing but a thong leotard, sheer tights, and signature red-soled Louboutins. This particular trend is something we can wholeheartedly support.
